Engels Family Thought Research

The family is the most basic collective which constitutes the society.The harmony and stability of the family determines the development of the society.Therefore,the family problem has always been one of the important problems of the country and society.With the gradual improvement and development of China’s socialist economy,the family has become the most basic unit.And individuals also have a new understanding of family values,which has a certain impact on the current family values.Family development is not an individual issue,but a national issue.Without family stability,there can be no social stability.Therefore,it is an important task to construct a harmonious socialist society to deal with family problems correctly and form harmonious family relations.Engels studied and analyzed the family from the materialist point of view,scientifically and systematically discussed the development history of human beings,expounded the characteristics and conditions of the forms of marriage and family in different historical stages,the collapse of primitive social system and the emergence of private class society,and revealed the nature and root of this situation.Theoretically,Engels’ research on family mainly focuses on Locke’s and Rousseau’s family education views,Morgan’s family social system,Hegel’s family thoughts and Marx’s thoughts based on Morgan’s family thoughts.Based on Engels’ reflection on the above family thoughts,this paper discusses how Engels appraises,criticizes and inherits the thoughts of the above thinkers to construct his own family thoughts.Engels’ family thought influences every aspect of our life.The exposition of love,marriage and family not only highlights materialism,but also spreads humanism.Nowadays,love and marriage not only represent individual actions,but also affect the whole society.Today,China’s social transformation,the transformation of family structure,family related social problems such as marriage,extramarital love family conflicts brought by the pain,make we more need to pay attention to the women’s liberation and Dan family education problems,Engels family thought perfected the theory of "two kinds of production",enrich the thought of "the liberation of women",in order to cultivate new era science and family values,It is of great theoretical and practical value to construct a harmonious family with Chinese characteristics and promote the stable and sustainable development of the society.
