In order to maintain the feudal rule and consolidate the throne,many imperial family instructions have emerged in Chinese history.’Huangming Zuxun ’ and ’ Tingxun Motto ’ are the representative works.Zhu Yuanzhang was a cloth-clad emperor from Cao Ze,and Emperor Kangxi was a young emperor who lost his parents.Their different origins and life circumstances made the two books have different ideological formation environments.Zhu Yuanzhang compiled the " Huang Ming Zu Xun " in order to leave the " established law " of " the word can not be changed " to future generations,so that Zhu Ming ’s royal family can continue forever and protect the Tianlu forever.The purpose of Emperor Yongzheng ’s compilation of " court motto " is to educate the brothers in a gentle way and by means of family precepts under the political background of serious party struggle and chaotic official management,so as to consolidate the position of his emperor.Due to the different ideological formation environment and different compilation purposes,the main contents and writing process of ’ Huang Ming Zu Xun ’ and ’ Ting Xun Motto ’ are different,and the ethical thoughts included are also different.This paper compares the ethical thoughts in ’ Huang Ming Zu Xun ’ and ’ Ting Xun Motto ’through literature research,inductive analysis and comparative research.Both books are influenced by Confucianism and have the ethical thoughts of respecting heaven and loyalty,governing the country,saving love,and self-cultivation.Among these thoughts,Emperor Kangxi ’s thoughts on Zhu Yuanzhang are basically the same,and the ethical thoughts of saving love,prudence and diligence are implemented more thoroughly and comprehensively.’Huangming Zuxun ’ and ’ Tingxun Motto ’,as imperial family instructions,both have the characteristics of family and country integration.Among them,’ Huang Ming Zu Xun ’ is more clear in regulations and systems;home country isomorphism,imperial supremacy;the content is detailed and binding.The ’ motto of court motto ’ is more simple and peaceful,pays attention to words and deeds,leads by example,and has a strong persuasiveness;manchu and Han fusion,both Chinese and Western;the content is extensive and meticulous.Emperor Kangxi respected Zhu Yuanzhang and followed his ideological content such as political education.As the embodiment of his thought,the " court motto " followed and developed the " Huangming Zuxun " in terms of social education.The two emperors ’ family instructions come from different dynasties and different ethnic groups,and embody the ethical thoughts of the two outstanding emperors.Their ethical thoughts came down in one continuous line,which had an important influence on the Ming and Qing Dynasties and played an important role today.The study of ’Huang Ming Zu Xun ’ and ’ Court Motto ’ is helpful for us to understand the thoughts of Zhu Yuanzhang and Emperor Kangxi,and to deepen our understanding of the imperial family instructions of the Ming and Qing dynasties,and to provide enlightenment for contemporary family education and social moral construction.
