Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio and Fantastic Tales By Ji Xiaolan are well-known classical Chinese short stories in the Qing Dynasty.They are also praised as the "double Bi"of classical Chinese short stories in the Qing Dynasty by future generations.The former is especially better.Because the identity background and life experience of Pu Songling and Ji Yun are inconsistent,the styles of these two works with similar themes are quite different.It also urges us to put the two literary works together to compare similarities and differences and make high comments.This paper mainly uses the method of comparative research to analyze the similarities and differences between the two works,so as to trigger further thinking.The full text is divided into five parts,which are systematically discussed.We first discuss the comparability of the comparison between Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio and Fantastic Tales By Ji Xiaolan,which can be divided into two points.Take this as the starting point and analyze the similarities between the two works;Secondly,based on the deep-seated reasons such as the concept,status and life experience of the two authors,this paper compares the creative motivation and purpose of the two authors.Secondly,it mainly analyzes the different presentation of the two ideas of "civilian consciousness" and "scholar bureaucrat feelings" in the two works,analyzes the content of the works,summarizes and expounds their differences,and compares and analyzes the reasons for the differences between the two ideas.Thirdly,we intend to analyze the different artistic characteristics of the two works,and try to analyze them from the aspects of structural art,role image and so on.In terms of structural art,Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio is "one book and two styles",while Fantastic Tales By Ji Xiaolan tends to focus on discussion;In terms of role image,the two books have created a variety of roles,but due to the more "Fox" images created in the two books and the more classic role image,the "Fox" image is mainly selected as the main part for comparative analysis to reveal its deep meaning.In a word,we try to know more about the two works on the basis of comparison.
