| This article briefly discusses the origin and concepts of narrative and ceramic sculpture,and combines with the highly narrative language of artists and ceramic sculpture works in various ceramic production areas in recent years.From the perspectives of their contemporaneity,theme,and innovation,this article conducts in-depth research on the narrative of contemporary ceramic sculpture,and sorts out the development context and artistic characteristics of narrative ceramic sculpture;A scientific discussion was conducted on the narrative strategies of narrative ceramic sculpture from the perspectives of iconography and narratology,attempting to start with the narrative language of ceramic sculpture,emphasizing that narrative is still one of the formal languages used in ceramic sculpture or other artistic genres at present;It is also pointed out that the future development of narrative ceramic sculpture should focus on catering to market consumption needs through public aesthetics,moving towards public spaces,and enriching narrative language through the use of the Internet and technology.As far as graduation creation is concerned,the author combines theoretical research with creative practice,takes the relevant research of iconography and narratology as the theoretical basis,takes graduation creation and other artists’ works as the practical basis,and takes the COVID-19 as the creative background to create a series of narrative ceramic sculptures reflecting the theme of the times,epidemic life,and the spirit of epidemic resistance,trying to tell the creators of ceramic art,In today’s world of contemporary art,leveraging the narrative language in ceramic sculpture is still a significant creative direction that creators should pay attention to and not overlook when creating ceramic sculpture. |
