Aesthetic Language Study Of Ceramic Clay Plate(Board)Shaping

The techniques of ceramic forming have clear and systematic characteristics in different stages of historical development.As one of the forming methods of ceramics,clay slab forming has different application scenarios and performance characteristics in different periods.With the development of traditional Chinese ceramic art,the use of clay slabs has become increasingly skilled.The technique of clay slab forming has developed from serving the practical use of primitive pottery to the skilled mastery of clay slabs and the formation of a complex decorative style in later stages.Nowadays,with the influence of modern art concepts,artists are returning to the characteristics of the materials themselves.Through exploration of the traditional ceramic forming method of clay slab forming,clay slab art has been given a new look and its unique aesthetic language has been discovered.Clay slab forming has also transformed from a simple ceramic forming technique to a modern ceramic art creation method.This article introduces,sorts out,and summarizes the different techniques of clay slab forming,and analyzes representative art works in the East and West in a vivid form to explain the production process and aesthetic language of clay slab ceramic forming.Based on the practical part of this research project,the "Ape Life" series summarizes and refines the image of apes,and combines the aesthetic language of clay slab forming to create a batch of clay slab ceramic animal sculptures with different shapes and full of tension.The purpose of this practice is to use the unique aesthetic language of clay slab forming to explore and break through the art form of clay slab ceramic animal sculptures.
