Exploring The Application Of Henry Rousseau’s Childlike Style In Painting

Henry Rousseau is a representative figure of the "childlike" style.The author analyzes Rousseau’s painting background and characteristics by appreciating and exploring the three main themes of his oil paintings(portrait and society,still life and scenery,jungle and dreams),in order to identify the origin and development characteristics of the "childlike" style.This paper not only explores Henry Rousseau’s painting works,but also combines the author’s own practical reasons.It combines the author’s years of teaching experience in children’s painting and explores the works of children at different age stages,comparing them with the "childlike" style in oil painting.It explores the characteristics of Henry Rousseau’s childlike painting style,and combines the author’s actual situation to find the painting language that belongs to the author in the research,Form a unique painting style.This article is divided into five chapters to discuss the application of Henry Rousseau’s "childlike" style in the author’s painting creation,namely the conceptual understanding of the "childlike" style;Exploring the artistic styles of different painting themes in Henry Rousseau’s oil paintings;The comparison between Henry Rousseau and the "childlike" style of children’s paintings,and the innovative expression of the fusion of the childlike style in Henry Rousseau’s paintings in my creation of "Dreams,Childlike innocence,and Games".In this paper,a comparison between Rousseau and children’s painting language is used to summarize the similarities and differences,and the uniqueness of Henry Rousseau’s artistic style is sorted out,guiding the author to form their own painting language for oil painting creation,which is a major innovation of this article.Through the methods of literature research,content analysis,comparative analysis,investigation and research,and creative practice,this article explores the importance and significance of studying Henry Rousseau’s painting language for the author’s painting creation.
