Corpus-based Method Research Of Illustrative Examples In Synonym Dictionaries

Illustrative examples are an important part of the dictionary.For synonyms with small meaning differences,reasonable Illustrative examples can highlight the similarities and differences and help discrimination.At present,the dictionary pays insufficient attention to illustrative examples,even though the special synonym dictionary still has problems such as insufficient collocation words in terms of illustrative examples.This paper uses the corpus method to study the illustrative examples of synonym dictionary,and through qualitative and quantitative analysis,finds the similarities and differences of synonym in collocation and other aspects,in order to provide some ideas for the optimization of the illustrative examples method of synonym dictionary.This paper is based on the corpus,and the full text is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,the reason and significance of the topic,and the existing research results are summarized and analyzed.Clear the research ideas,methods and the adopted software.The second,third and fourth chapters conduct individual case analysis.Three sets of synonyms were drawn from verbs,adjectives,and nouns as study objects,namely "baifang"and "fangwen","haohua" and "shehua","qixi" and "qiwei" Based on the BCC corpus,a large number of corpora were extracted and analyzed by software,mainly from the left collocation words,the right collocation words,the two sides of collocation words,multiword expressions and other sequences.It is found that synonyms are different in typical collocation words,class connection,semantic tendency,etc.Besides,there are also great differences in the proportion of left and right typical collocation words,and the number and composition of multiword expressions.The extracted collocation and analysis results are compared with the three examples of Xinhua Synonyms Dictionary and Synonyms Dictionary and A Complete Dictionary of Synonyms,and proposed areas for optimization in response to dictionary issues.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which summarized the problems of synonym dictionary illustrative examples,and found that the problems mostly focus on the following aspects:the typicality of collocation words,the era of collocation words,the distinction of collocation words,the number of collocation words,the emphasis of the left and right side collocation words and the multiword expressions.At the same time,we also explain the steps of case optimization,and summarize the shortcomings of this paper,and prospect the future research direction.The results of this paper not only inspire the discrimination of synonym ontology and the compilation of synonym dictionary,but also can be applied to Chinese teaching and other aspects.
