| The Kong family has been crowned for generations and has prospered and endured for a long time,with the name of "the first family in the world".By virtue of their special status,the descendants of Confucius enjoyed preferential treatment from the rulers,were promoted to high rank,and actively relied on marriage and family studies for their own and their family’s development.Although there have been studies related to marriage and family studies for family development in the academy,they lack systematization,and few studies of the Kong family have specifically explored the ordinary clansmen of the Kong family.In view of this,this study has a relatively important academic value and practical significance in exploring the role of marriage and family studies in promoting the development of the ordinary Kong family,and the interaction between them.This study focuses on the marriage genealogy and family studies inheritance of the Kong family’s Chui Jing Hall and Dunben Hall,Using a combination of documentary research,historical research,and case study methods,and using diversified historical materials such as poetry and literature collections,chronicles,recipes,genealogies,and archives.It tries to reveal the ways in which ordinary Kong clansman maintain their prestige and improve their status.The main ideas of this study are as follows: Firstly,we explore the special development background of the Kong family,sort out its natural and humanistic environment and the social background,analyze the ways in which the Kong family sought development,and explore the role of the promotion of marriage genealogy and learning transmission.Secondly,we focus on the Chui Jing Hall and Dunben Hall,examine their family profile respectively,as well as the profile and culture of the families involved in their marriage genealogies,the academic exchanges and poetry communications between the two families members,as well as the content and mode of inheritance of the Kong family studies,so as to present the marriage genealogy and family studies inheritance of the Kong clansman.Finally,we summarize and analyze the marriage genealogy and family studies inheritance on the consolidation and enhancement of the family’s status,and marriage promotes the development of family studies,family studies promotes the cultural exchange of in-laws,and the two interact with each other in a positive way. |
