Research On Li Zehou's Ethical Though

This paper discusses the significance and influence of Li Zehou’s ethical thought on contemporary society through the overall study of Li’s ethical thought and the analysis of its core thought.The significance of this study is that the innovation and uniqueness of Li’s ethical thoughts provide us with a new perspective to view and solve ethical problems in the real society.This paper first discusses the core theoretical basis of Li’s ethical thought,namely,historical ontology and emotional ontology.Historical ontology believes that human nature is formed by history and society,and the essence of human nature is historical and social.The ontology of emotion holds that emotion is an important part of human nature and the source and power of human nature.This thought has profoundly revealed the complexity and diversity of human nature.Different historical and social backgrounds and personal emotions have an important impact on the formation and development of human nature.On this basis,Li analyzed human nature and put forward his analysis of the origin and essence of morality.From Li’s perspective,the origin of morality is a kind of code of conduct and values gradually formed by human beings living in society in order to protect themselves and gain benefits.The essence of morality lies in the realization of human self-improvement and social harmony through rational domination and restraint of emotion.Li put forward his ethics of virtue.He organically linked multiple concepts such as human nature,ethics,morality,virtue,etc.,and formed a relatively complete ethical theoretical system.He believed that the value of virtue lies in the realization of the supreme good,that is,the overall continuation and development of human beings,and that "harmony" is an inevitable requirement for the realization of the supreme good.This is because harmony is not only the harmonious coexistence between people,but also between people and the natural environment.Only when harmony is achieved can human society develop healthily and stably.Therefore,Li regards harmony as the highest goal of virtue ethics and the direction of virtue ethics.I think that the ultimate realization of Li’s ethical thoughts is at the aesthetic level.In Li’s ideological system,aesthetics has been given the supreme status,regarded as the first philosophy that can enlighten truth,save good and establish a destiny,and has produced a kind of "aesthetic ethics" in the ethical sense.Aesthetics is a highly artistic form that can transcend objective reality,sublimate human emotions and spiritual world,and is the noblest spiritual pursuit and the most perfect moral realm of human beings.Therefore,the realization of virtue ethics needs to be realized through aesthetics.This concept of combining aesthetics with ethical thought not only emphasizes the important role of aesthetics in human values,but also enlightens the need for ethical thought to go deep into human hearts,transcend the scope of rationality and experience,and seek a more sophisticated realm.Therefore,Li’s ethical thought actually ends with aesthetics and realizes human development through aesthetics.
