Body image refers to the psychological picture formed by individuals about their own weight,body shape and body,including cognition,emotional attitude and behavior,as well as body related thoughts,beliefs,feelings,etc.Whether Body image is positive or not is a sign of individual mental health.Female college students are an important pillar of China’s development.The development of positive Body image of female college students is conducive to promoting their physical and mental health and improving their sense of happiness.The survey shows that most female college students in China have a negative attitude towards their own bodies;Feeling dissatisfied with one’s physical appearance;Lack of confidence,blind weight loss,and other issues.Therefore,it is necessary to study the Body image of female college students.Therefore,this paper uses the literature method,Delphi method method,experimental method and other methods to investigate the Body image of 36 female college students in Minzu University of China on the basis of obtaining theoretical basis,to understand the specific problems,and through the 12 week Latin dance movement intervention,to analyze the specific impact of Latin dance movement on female college students’ Body image,in order to explore ways to improve the current female college students’ Body image problem It can improve the physical and mental health of women’s universities,and provide a reference for enriching the study of Body image.The research results are as follows:(1)In the aspect of appearance evaluation,there was a significant difference between the scores of the experimental group after the experiment and those before the experiment(P<0.05),indicating that the 12 week Latin dance exercise could improve female college students’ satisfaction and liking of their appearance,making female college students think their appearance is more attractive.(2)In the aspect of appearance orientation,there was no significant difference between the scores of the experimental group after the experiment and those before the experiment(P>0.05),indicating that the 12 week Latin dance exercise had no significant impact on female college students’ attention to their own appearance and appearance.(3)In the dimension of satisfaction of all parts of the body,the scores of the experimental group after the experiment were significantly different from those before the experiment(P<0.05),which showed that 12 weeks of Latin dance could improve the satisfaction of female college students with all parts of their bodies.(4)In the dimension of attention to obesity,the scores of the experimental group after the experiment were significantly different from those before the experiment(P<0.01),indicating that the 12 week Latin dance exercise could significantly improve the female college students’ attention to obesity.(5)In the dimension of self classification of body weight,there was no significant difference between the scores of the experimental group after the experiment and the scores before the experiment(P>0.05),indicating that the 12 week Latin dance exercise had no significant impact on female college students’attitude towards their body weight.(6)In terms of BMI,Waist-hip ratio and body fat rate,the data of the experimental group after the experiment were significantly different from the data before the experiment(P<0.01),indicating that the 12 week Latin dance exercise could reduce the weight and body fat of female college students,reduce the BMI of female college students,shape a more perfect Waist-hip ratio,and improve the body shape of female college students.The research conclusion is as follows:(1)Latin dance can improve female college students’ love and satisfaction with their body appearance and various parts of the body,and make female college students think their bodies are more attractive.(2)Latin dance can improve female college students’ concern about obesity.(3)Latin dance has no obvious effect on improving female college students’attention to their appearance and their attitude towards their weight.(4)After the intervention of Latin dance,the level of Body image of female college students has been improved to some extent,indicating that Latin dance is an effective means of intervention. |
