| For a long time, vocal teaching and vocal training for singing have relied primarily on teachers’ subjective auditory perception as the main method of evaluation, along with experiential guidance. We have pioneered the application of objective computerized voice analysis methods, especially the use of VRP,in the training of students receiving vocal training, which is a first in collective vocal training classes in our country. As the author,I have participated in the entire process of music therapy vocal training courses under the guidance of a mentor. Before the training, vocal examinations and VRP tests were conducted on 20 students receiving vocal training. After 16 weeks of learning and training using the mechanistic teaching method with two lessons per week, vocal changes were measured again using VRP at the end of the semester, and scores were given based on subjective auditory perception and vocal test results. The data processed using SPSS statistical software showed significant differences among the 20 students receiving vocal training in terms of extension during the Maximum Phonation Time, improvement in the difference between vocal strength limits, and increased intensity in loud singing.Through case analysis,it was found that 90%of the students showed significant improvement in the heavy voice curve,95%showed significant improvement in the weak voice curve, and 100%showed significant improvement in the resonance curve. The number of students who showed improvement in the high pitch range during loud singing(75%)was higher than those in the middle pitch range(50%).During soft singing, the number of students who showed improvement in the high pitch range(80%)was lower than those in the middle pitch range(95%),which further illustrates the training difficulty of singing low notes loudly and high notes softly. This difficulty is related to both the students’ physiological conditions and the technical difficulty. The ability to sing low notes loudly and high notes softly during vocal training is an effective indicator to verify the scientific teaching methods and the students’ musical performance ability. We believe that VRP analysis can become a valid means of evaluating the scientific effectiveness of future vocal teaching and vocal training, and it is worth people’s understanding and promotion. |
