Suspense web dramas have become an important branch in the development of domestic web dramas,with the construction of suspense and horror atmosphere with the main elements of thriller,crime and adventure,attracting large audiences.This paper examines the "she-oriented" of domestic suspense web dramas by analyzing the image of women,conveying society’s care for women from the change of portrayal of women,from male-oriented suspense narratives to narratives from the perspective of female subjects,focusing on women’s personal growth,and showing women’s unique narratives in terms of narrative style and personality expression.The narrative style and personality expression show the unique narrative style of women.The suspense narrative of women’s social topics from women’s perspective allows women’s desires and demands to be expressed,highlighting the improvement of women’s consciousness and women’s social status.In recent years,with the typological development of domestic suspense online dramas,"she-oriented" as a new direction has changed the single image of women in previous suspense online dramas,presenting women’s survival difficulties and living environment from a female perspective,and women have become the main role and narrative focus in domestic suspense online dramas.This paper selects the representative suspense works in domestic suspense web dramas since 2014,analyzes the development of female image,and analyzes the social culture and the presentation of female self-awareness behind them.The development of "she-oriented" in domestic suspense online dramas has created female images based on real life female images.The diversified portrayal of female images in the dramas meets the aesthetic needs of the audience.The portrayal of the plight of women and the difficulty of seeking female power has caused the audience to ponder,making suspense online dramas more socially valuable.This paper firstly starts from the development of women’s image in domestic suspense web dramas,and discovers the development of the living image of women and the diversification of women’s identity.Secondly,we analyze the performance of "she-oriented" from three aspects: the focus of suspense web dramas on the survival of female groups and individuals,and the shift to female narratives.Then,we analyze the reasons for the "she-oriented" of domestic suspense web dramas,which are the specificity of web drama production,the suspense fever in the context of consumer culture,and the shift of the focus of suspense performance.Finally,we reflect on the shift of "she-oriented" in domestic suspense web dramas,analyze the homogenization of female images and topics,and make suggestions for the development of "she-oriented" and the shaping of a more three-dimensional,personalized and realistic female image.
