Prior information refers to the expected bias of the results already existing in the individual’s brain when external information has not been input.According to the Bayesian coding theory, the prior probability information already in the individual’s brain will affect the effect of the prediction process.Previous studies have found that athletes who engage in open sports have a relatively higher prediction accuracy under the condition of prior probability information. However, few studies have explored the influence of prior information on the prediction of athletes with different amounts of exercise information, and the characteristics of brain activity of its influence still need to be further explored. Therefore, this study selects table tennis players as the research object to explore the influence of prior information on the key time points of rotation and landing prediction of table tennis players, and further explores the time nodes affected by prior information and the brain activity characteristics of action prediction..Study 1 adopted a within-subjects design of 2(prior information conditions:prompt,no prompt)× 3 amount of exercise information(small, moderate, and large).By controlling the amount of motion information presented, the predictive influence of prior information on the amount of different motion information is explored, and key time points are found. The purpose of this study is to investigate the difference in the influence of prior information on the prediction of these two movements, and to explore the influence of prior information on time pressure and prediction difficulty.Study 2 is based on the prior information of study 1 that affects the time node of motion prediction, and explores the influence of prior information on the performance of athlete’s action prediction and the characteristics of brain activity. The research results show that:(1)Prior information affects the effect of athlete’s action prediction, and the athlete’s action prediction under the condition of prompting is more inclined to the content prompt. This bias occurs in rotation predictions with little, moderate, and large amounts of motion information, but only in low-,medium motion conditions in drop predictions.(2)Prior information has a greater impact on the prediction of placements with more difficult tasks, rather than predictions of placements with greater time pressure.(3)Under the condition of prompting, the prediction accuracy rate of the athlete’s rotation and landing point is improved, and the discrimination index d’ is larger.(4)The amplitude of CNV in the central area of the cerebral cortex of athletes increased significantly before the appearance of motor movements.(5)When the athlete watched the action, the energy of theta rhythm decreased under the cue condition, but there was no significant difference in the alpha rhythm.Conclusions:(1)Prior information affects the prediction bias of table tennis players, and players’ prediction is more biased towards information prompts. The influence of prior information on action prediction is moderated by prior information.(2)The prior information has a greater impact on the rotation prediction that is difficult to predict.(3)Prior information improves the performance of table tennis players’ action prediction.(4)The prior information improves the attention orientation and cognitive preparation of athletes before the action appears, and increases the cognitive load in the later stage of action prediction.
