| The comics-adaptation drama is the abbreviation for comics-adaptation TV and streaming series.In 2015,GBS broadcasted The Legend of Qin,which is the first TV series adapted from comic in Chinese mainland.Subsequently,a large number of original domestic comics-adaptation dramas emerged,which aroused widespread ratings and attention,and had broad commercial prospects.However,due to the immaturity of the Chinese comicsadaptation drama industry,there are many deficiencies in both the early stage of adaptation and the later stage of commercial operation.As a result,while the number of comicsadaptation drama continues to grow,word of mouth and broadcast volume are uneven.Because of unique artistic features,comics make its adaptations have different highlights and difficulties from other IP adaptations.This paper takes the domestic comics-adaptation dramas broadcast from 2015 to 2021 as the main research object,and sorts out and analyzes the problems existing in the current domestic comics-adaptation dramas from four aspects:character building,narrative style,adaptation of foreign comics and cultural barriers.Through analysis,it is found that the difficulties in the creation of comics-adaptation dramas is concentrated in the integration of "comic sense" and "drama sense".The three-dimensional creation of label characters,the structural transformation of spatial structure narrative,and the aesthetic identity of mainstream audiences are the three main aspects of this problem.On this basis,there is a more prominent problem in comics-adaptation dramas adapted from foreign comics,which is the aesthetic transformation of characters and situations from other countries.From the perspective of the producers of comics-adaptation dramas,the aesthetic demands of the mainstream audiences are far from the demands of the two-dimensional group.It seems to be a dilemma whether to be loyal to the original comic,win over fans,or make major changes considering the presentation effect of the TV and streaming series.In fact,the adaptation of subcultural texts to mainstream culture cannot be transplanted throughout the text,nor is it equivalent to the annexation or obliteration of subcultures by mainstream culture.The dimensional wall breaking in the comics-adaptation drama should be the result of two-way fusion.From the perspective of the target audience,the audience of comics-adaptation dramas pays more attention to "drama" rather than "comic".Only by solving the problems existing in the adaptation and improving the quality of it,can comics-adaptation dramas gain the recognition of comics fans while attracting the audience.The future development of comics-adaptation drama needs to be based on Chinese national conditions and cross-media narrative methods,and to carry out multi-angle and multi-media carrier text derivative adaptations.While retaining the theme and narrative style of the comics,it promotes the integration of the sense of comics,the sense of network,and the sense of TV series,and achieves the breakthrough and integration of dimensional barriers. |
