"Hate" is a unique national emotion of the Korean nation,which means sadness and bitterness and unwillingness to give in,"hate" culture has an extremely important impact on South Korea,and the film creation shrouded in "hate" also shows a very Korean characteristic performance-gloomy,sad,full of realistic reflection.Park Chan-wook is known as the "wizard of Korean films",his works have a strong personal color,he presents one tragedy after another with a unique aesthetic with extremely exquisite pictures and exquisite narratives,and highly integrates the various problems existing in Korean society with a cold and aesthetic image language,so that the sensibility and rationality of the film coexist,and the artistry and society go hand in hand.In director Park Chan-wook’s film works,"hate" is also a core element of his creation.The background of philosophy has given director Park Chan-wook a different way of thinking about people and society.This paper takes Park Chan-wook’s film works since the new century as the main research text,and studies the unique expression of Korean "hate" culture in Park Chan-wook’s films from the aspects of film narrative,character image,and audiovisual performance.The introduction part introduces the topic selection from three parts: research significance,research background and analysis of research status at home and abroad,and strongly proves the academic significance of the selected topic.Chapter 1 provides a systematic introduction to the culture of "hate";The second chapter examines the director’s performance of "hate" in the narrative;Chapter3 takes the shaping of characters under the culture of "hate" as the starting point to explore the influence of "hate" on the director’s creation;Chapter 4 returns to image performance,and studies the performance of "hate" in the director’s film creation;The fifth chapter of the article explores the realistic care in Park Chan-wook’s films,summarizing the director’s social reflection from three perspectives: social environment,personal heart,and relationship between people;Finally,the concluding part summarizes the creative characteristics of Park Chan-wook’s films and the significance of studying the film style of Park Chan-wook.In terms of film selection,director Park Chan-wook prefers to draw creative inspiration from literary and artistic works from other countries,and combine with the actual situation in South Korea to create a surreal absurd world,using bizarre and suspenseful stories to insinuate and satirize Korean social events.In terms of character image,Park Chan-wook is good at creating inverted characters,revealing the truth of characters through choices that change fate.In terms of film technique,Park Chan-wook uses violence as bait to attract the audience,and the audience will initially indulge in the visual pleasure brought by violence,but after the end of the violent means,it brings people psychological depression and fear.From the conceptual point of view,the director takes "people" as an eternal thinking question,and is committed to excavating the essence of people from the state of people in society.In the director’s view,under the huge class differences in Korean society,the contradictions between people are irreconcilable,people’s emotions are lonely,and people’s fate is tragic.
