Amilcare Ponchielli(1834-1886)was an outstanding Italian composer of the19 th century,an important period in the development of Italian opera, most of the music of this period was based on opera music, together with the famous Italian composer Verdi. He composed nine operas during his lifetime, and his four-act opera "La Gioconda",which was written after "The Lithuanian",is the most important masterpiece of his opera, which was awarded at the same time as Verdi’s "Othello" and became a successful model of Italian opera. The opera’s libretto was adapted from Victor Hugo’s 1835 dramatic literature "An Sunset".Although the famous literary scholar Victor Hugo was mediocre in music, his literary works gave the composer a wealth of inspiration for his music. His dramatic works leaned towards romance, and Ponchielli’s clever composition also made this opera a pioneer in the creation of realist operas. In this paper,I studied and sang the work during my second year of graduate study with the help of my supervisor. In the process of practicing, returning to class, and practicing,I deepened my understanding of the work. The author starts from the aria "Angelic Voice" and analyzes the singing of "Cheka",the mother of Choconda,in "Choconda",and analyzes and explores the difficulties in the song from the perspective of mezzo-soprano,hoping to provide some reference for the majority of vocal study enthusiasts. |
