Analysis On The Musical Characteristics And Singing Of "Three Little Songs Of Yuan Opera"

Yuan Opera is another milestone in the development of Chinese classical literature after Tang and Song poetry.It is a symbol of the development of literature in the Yuan Dynasty.In recent years,more and more composers have created many excellent artistic songs of Yuanqu with the theme of Yuanqu.Mr.Gao Weijie is a famous composer in China.He combined China’s traditional pentatonic creation techniques with western traditional techniques to create a Chinese art song "Yuanqu Xiaosong(Three Songs)".The song connects three women images who have experienced different love periods,and forms a complete and beautiful love story with three music images in the form ofvocal divertimento.This paper focuses on the musical characteristics of "Three Songs of Yuan Opera" and my experience in performing in concert.The article is divided into three chapters.The first chapter gives a brief introduction to the overview of Yuanqu,Gao Weijie’s creative achievements and the creative background of "Three Songs of Yuanqu".The second chapter analyzes and explores the musical characteristics of the three Yuanqu works.The third chapter analyzes the vocal singing method of this divertimento.
