| Sergei Prokofiev(1891-1953)was a Soviet composer of the 19 th and 20 th centuries.He composed nine piano sonatas with different characteristics,among which the sixth,seventh and eighth piano sonatas are called "War Sonatas".This paper takes Prokofiev’s Piano Sonata No.8 in B-flat as the object of study,and examines the musical structure,tonal layout and harmonic design of the whole piece from the context of the composer’s time and historical background,as well as from its musical structure and stylistic characteristics and interpretative analysis.The performance theoretical issues such as the tempo layout,pedal use and sound level of the three movements are discussed. |
