| Today,in the twenty-first century,human society is in the midst of tremendous transformations brought about by rapid development and the intense stimulation of the information explosion.The purpose of this paper is to explore the inner logic of contemporary art creation in the new context of globalization and the contemporary transformation of traditional Chinese symbols by contemporary artists,focusing on the artistic creation of the artist Qiu Anxiong as a case study.The first chapter analyzes the reflexivity of Qiu Anxiong’s artworks,including the soil of the times on which his creations are based and his reflections on the relationship between human beings and the ecological environment.Chapter 2 analyzes the visual transformation of traditional Chinese symbols in Qiu Anxiong’s artworks from the perspectives of themes,environmental scenes,characteristics of pictorial forms,and technology.Chapter 3 analyzes the methods and transformation logic of traditional Chinese symbols in Qiu Anxiong’s creations.Chapter 4 summarizes what influences Qiu Anxiong has on traditional Chinese symbols in his creative work and how his transformations have inspired his own creative practice.This paper investigates and analyzes how Qiu Anxiong’s artistic creations combine the typical traditional Chinese cultural symbol of the Shan Hai Jing with the latest medium of "new media" to integrate traditional Chinese ink painting into contemporary animation,video,and painting.He collides the ancient perspective with modern industrial civilization,forming his unique linguistic logic and transformation,achieving the right blend of traditional Chinese cultural symbols and contemporary art creation.Qiu Anxiong’s transformative approach also offers new insights and reflections on contemporary art creation,examining our own human condition through art creation and using it as an opportunity to rethink the relationship between humanity and the world,between the contemporary and the traditional.At the same time,as a creator of visual art,the logic and method of contemporary transformation of traditional Chinese cultural symbols in Qiu Anxiong’s artwork has also enlightened me in my art practice and added more possibilities for deepening my art creation. |
