Chinese flower and bird painting has undergone numerous evolutions and innovations throughout history.Its vitality is so strong that it continues to flourish today.Ren Bonian was a highly influential painter in modern times.After settling in Shanghai,he gained a great reputation and became a leading figure in the "Shanghai style painting",earning the reputation of being a "giant".As a great master of Shanghai style painting,he stands tall in the world of art with his unique artistic techniques.The color scheme in his freehand flower and bird paintings is bright and fresh,elegant and gorgeous,pure and elegant,surpassing ancient and modern times.With a spirit that surpasses the times,freehand flower and bird paintings are pushed from tradition to modernity.Due to the influence of the social environment and regional culture at that time,he began to seek breakthroughs and innovations in the path of painting,actively accepting the color design methods in Western,folk,and traditional painting,adopting a combination of Chinese and Western cultures,integrating the ancient and modern,learning from the ancient and changing,and integrating the strengths of various families into his own way,changing the painting style of literati and officialdom since the Ming and Qing dynasties,breaking the inherent thinking in traditional color design,and breaking through the constraints of the previous "ink based" approach,Moving towards an epoch-making field.The main body of the paper is divided into four chapters for discussion.Firstly,it introduces the background of the formation of Ren Bonian’s freehand flower and bird painting coloring techniques,analyzes factors such as his life and social environment at that time,and deeply explores the formation trajectory of Ren Bonian’s art.Secondly,the artistic characteristics of Ren Bonian’s freehand flower and bird painting coloring techniques are discussed.Based on my own understanding,the author analyzes them from three aspects: traditional Chinese painting colors,folk arts and crafts colors,and Western painting colors.Thirdly,the author conducts creative practice on the coloring techniques of Ren Bonian’s freehand flower and bird paintings,which are divided into creative ideas,creative materials,composition forms,and coloring expressions.Fourthly,summarize the problems and solutions encountered in this creative practice. |
