A Study Of The Miao Ethnic Group Needlework Group In Huayuan,Fenghuang And Luxi From The Perspective Of Feminist Anthropology

The group of Miao ethnic group is the inheritor,producer and consumer of the skill of Miao ethnic group.The group and skill practice of Miao ethnic group in Huayuan,Fenghuang and Luxi counties of Xiangxi reflect the historical traces and new development left by the change of times.The theory of artistic initiative proposes to explore the relationship between artistic elements from the two dimensions of initiative and subject under the specific social background.Gender theory emphasizes that human gender roles are the result of social and cultural construction,rather than biological fixed,and gender roles will change with social and cultural changes.The practice of Miao ethnic group’s needlework skill is the daily practice of Miao ethnic group’s needlework group,and its initiative plays an important role in promoting the formation of needlework group and the construction of social gender roles.The article consists of five chapters.In Chapter one,the unique local cultural habitat of the three counties in western Hunan has cultivated many distinct Miao ethnic group’s needlework skill,which show different development states with the transformation of social structure.In Chapter two,the needlework group constructs the group action style of our group through technical practice,that is,the group symbol boundary,and strengthens and consolidates the group symbol boundary through the production and reproduction ability of the technical practice,and constantly confirms and remembers the category identity of self,thus highlighting the differences between different categories of needlework groups.In Chapter three,Miao ethnic group’s needlework group establishes various connections with the outside world through skill practice and forms a self-centered social network,through which social resources flow among groups or individuals in the social network.Based on synchronic and diachronic perspectives,this paper divides the types of needlework groups by taking the social relationship network and social resource possession of needlework groups as indicators.In fourth chapter,the four elements of needlework art together constitute the network of artistic relations of needlework group.The skill practice of needlework,the art works produced through the skill practice and the characteristics of the artistic patterns of needlework have a dynamic disciplining and defining effect on the social gender roles of needlework groups.The social gender roles of needlework groups are reconstructed with the transformation of social structure.In Chapter five,the dynamic role played by the reconstruction of skill practice of Miao ethnic group Needlework group is of great significance to the formation of modern Miao ethnic group needlework culture and the acquisition of thematic advantages of needlework group.
