At present,the new curriculum reform is constantly advancing,although the teaching materials are the established materials in the classroom,they are not the only curriculum resources,and under the concept of "learner-centered",students as a curriculum resource have gradually received attention.The English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2011 Edition)clearly states that student resources are an important part of curriculum resources,and teachers should fully understand,develop and utilize student resources.The development of modern information technology has broadened students’ access to information,and the types of resources carried by students are more diversified,which provides more opportunities for English teachers to develop and utilize student resources.The student is the main body of the classroom and teaching should be based on the student.Student resources refer to the resources carried by students,expressed in and out of the classroom,and conducive to achieving teaching objectives and promoting student learning,which includes two parts: basic resources and generative resources.English reading teaching includes "reading","thinking","asking" and "discussing" four behavioral elements,in the English reading teaching activities,teachers’ development and utilization of student resources can promote the continuous in-depth development of students’ comprehensive language ability.Junior high school students have psychological characteristics that are in line with their age stage,and the rational development and use of student resources in English reading classes can meet the psychological needs of junior high school students,so it is necessary for teachers to develop and utilize student resources in junior high school reading classes.Through literature reading,interviews,and classroom observation,it is found that there are many problems in the development and utilization of student resources in the junior high school English reading classroom,the junior high school English teachers have a narrow understanding of student resources,the awareness of development and utilization is weak,the scope of development and utilization of student resources in the teaching of junior high school English reading is narrow,the degree of development and utilization is insufficient,and the form of development and utilization is simple and mechanical.In view of the above problems,junior high school English teachers should improve the awareness of the development and utilization of student resources,broaden the scope of student resources in the development and utilization of reading teaching,continuously deepen the degree of development and utilization of student resources in reading teaching,and enrich the form of development and utilization of student resources.In short,junior high school English teachers should deeply understand the importance of student resources in the reading classroom,fully develop and utilize student resources,cultivate students into independent readers,and improve students’ comprehensive language ability,which is the English reading teaching with the concept of student-centered concept,and also the English reading teaching that meets the purpose and requirements of the new curriculum reform.
