Research On The Application Of Miao Ancient Song Story Theme In Modern Decorative Painting Design

Miao ancient song is a national intangible cultural heritage,which is a folk oral tradition with epic and mythological nature.With questions and answers and chanting as the main form of narration,it focuses on the creation of the world,the generation of all things,human reproduction,flooding,ethnic warfare and other contents.It is a magnificent epic and can be called an encyclopedia of Miao society.In the process of being sung constantly,the ancient songs of the Miao ethnic group purify the mind of the Miao people,strengthen the shared memory of the ethnic group and gather people’s emotions,which has a strong artistic flavor,and finally achieve the unique aesthetic personality and characteristics of the ancient songs of the Miao ethnic group,and become a cultural phenomenon with a long history.Facing the current situation of the lack of creative transformation and innovative development and the difficulties in the inheritance of Miao ancient songs,how to use the power of design to combine Miao ancient songs with modern decorative paintings for inheritance and innovation is the main issue of this paper.On the basis of collecting,sorting and reading a large number of literatures,this paper visited Shidong Town,Taijiang County,Guizhou Province and other places by field research method,communicated and interviewed with inheritors,and ate,lived and worked with local people.To understand the current status of inheritance and development of Miao ancient songs,and explore the rationalization path of Miao ancient songs intangible cultural heritage’s involvement in contemporary life,so as to lay a foundation for the transformation,inheritance and innovation of Miao ancient songs in the contemporary context in the later period.At the same time,the design semiotics theory is used to analyze the elements in Miao ancient songs from the semantic dimension,and the 5W1 H theory is used to locate modern decorative paintings.This paper takes the ancient songs of the Miao ethnic group in the central dialect area as the research object,takes Tian Bing’s book "Ancient Songs of the Miao Ethnic Group" as the main reference text,selects the song "Maple Wood Song" to design and create modern decorative paintings of the ancient songs of the Miao ethnic group,connects the story before and after,combines the needs of consumers and aesthetic concepts,and uses comprehensive materials to decorate the decorative paintings,increase the sense of texture and enrich the visual language.And design a series of derivatives.The ancient songs of the Miao ethnic group are presented in visual form,so as to promote the sustainable inheritance and development of the ancient songs of the Miao ethnic group,let more people know the ancient songs of the Miao ethnic group and their cultural connotations and stories,and transmit the shared cultural memory of the Miao ethnic group.The research of this paper not only provides a new way for the development of Miao ancient songs,but also provides ideas for the innovative development of modern decorative paintings in the subject matter,and provides a reference sample for the combination of Miao ancient songs and modern decorative paintings.
