Yang Wanli’s Seasonal Poetry Research

Yang Wanli,a poet of the Southern Song Dynasty,was one of the most prolific poets of his time.His "Chengzhai Style" was famous for its easy to understand language and fresh style.In his long creative career,Yang Wanli wrote many poems related to the seasons.These poems not only describe the beautiful natural scenery and its contemporary social appearance,but also reflect the thoughts and emotions of Yang Wanli in different seasons and stages.According to Mr.Xin Gengru’s "Yang Wanli Collection School",Yang Wanli wrote more than4200 poems in his life.Through reading and retrieval,the author compiled 949 seasonal poems.These poems are rich in emotion,shallow in language and high research value.From the perspective of season,the thesis makes a systematic analysis of Yang Wanli’s seasonal poems,which are divided into four chapters,as follows:The first chapter is the introduction of Yang Wanli’s seasonal poems,It is totally divided into four subsections,First,the development of seasonal poetry before the Song Dynasty,In order to easily define the concept of seasonal poetry,It is also convenient to study the changes of Yang Wanli’s seasonal poetry compared with the previous generation;Secondly,according to the division of seasons and the distribution of animal and plant intentions,the concept of seasonal poems is defined;Again,the proportion of Yang Wanli’s seasonal poems in each season,And a thorough analysis of the causes of the uneven seasonal distribution,Natural reasons and human reasons;Finally,I sorted out the seasonal expressions in Yang Wanli’s seasonal poems,There are three species altogether,They are: directly indicate the season or month,natural phenomena and animal and plant images,human activities.The second chapter is the new change of Yang Wanli’s seasonal poetry,which is divided into three sections.Firstly,for the change of the image selection,the difference between the seasonal poetry and the previous generation,the seasonal poetic image shows richness,secular and knowledge,and analyzes the reasons;the second is the subject selection,the theme of agriculture and feelings,the influence of the language style and Yang Wanli’s poetic thought on the seasonal poetry creation.The third chapter is the analysis of the typical images in Yang Wanli’s seasonal poems,which are divided into natural images and humanistic images.The natural images select the wild end,willow catkins and bamboo plum,and the humanistic images select the wine and garden,which deeply analyzes the unique thoughts and emotions injected by Yang Wanli in these images.The fourth chapter is the contribution and limitation of Yang Wanli’s seasonal poems.This is a chapter with a summary nature,which summarizes the unique contribution of Yang Wanli’s seasonal poems to the development of Chinese poetry and gardens,and sees some disadvantages.
