The local cultural institutions of Hui Prefecture and Liangdang Prefecture in Gansu Province have collected a batch of local documents of the Qing Dynasty, which are mainly in the form of inscriptions, ledger books and contracts, which have not received academic attention. The collection of Qing Dynasty steles reflects the specific situation of the early Qing Dynasty in the southeast of Longnan region, where the social order needs to be restored, the local government reformed the old government, and the new policies were well implemented.During the reign of Jiaqing and Daoguang, there were frequent troubles caused by vagabiles from other regions.Local people exercised autonomy with the help of government authority, and actively repaired temples and developed education. The book collection of the Qing Dynasty specifically records the commodity prices of the two counties during the Guangxu years. It can be seen that the agricultural and sideline products that villagers have more than their own production and the handmade commodities that small peasant families cannot produce themselves were circulating in the rural market.Commodity trading based on daily necessities became an important link in rural life, and the commodities needed by farmers could be basically satisfied in the regional market of the county. The collection of contracts in the Qing Dynasty is the direct historical data of the private farm house trading, private lending and other social activities in Hui and Liang Di during the period from Guangxu to Xuantong. It can be seen that when private lending and land selling became the main choices for farmers in the two places to solve their family economic difficulties, private lending was mostly from individuals to businesses, with low interest rate and interest-free lending.Unsecured and unlimited loans account for the majority of lending activities, reflecting the nature of mutual assistance among the people.Sorting out and studying the Qing Dynasty literature collection can make up for the shortage of traditional historical materials such as local Chronicles and help us to further understand the social history of the foothills of the Qinling Mountains and the Shaan-Gansu border region in the Qing Dynasty.
