| Student participation refers to the degree of time and effort students put into effective learning,which is an important factor affecting the learning effect and also an important indicator to measure the teaching effect.As we all know,online teaching,as an emerging teaching mode,has been widely used in international Chinese teaching in recent years.More and more Chinese teachers have realized the importance of improving students’ participation in online classroom.However,at the same time,since most students in international Chinese class come from different countries with different language and cultural backgrounds and learning characteristics,it is very necessary to conduct a country-specific study on student participation in online Chinese class and draw targeted teaching strategies.This paper takes Bangladeshi international students as the research object,adopts the method of questionnaire survey,interview and other research methods,from the aspects of teachers’ teaching methods,teacher-student interaction methods,commonly used evaluation methods,whether there is communication and cooperation,and students’ preference for various interaction methods to understand the Bangladeshi international students’ participation in online Chinese comprehensive course.In addition,the collected data are sorted out and analyzed,and the existing problems are found and feasible solutions are proposed according to the actual situation,so as to improve the teaching efficiency of international Chinese class for Bangladeshi students.This paper is divided into four parts: The introduction part mainly demonstrates the significance,value and feasibility of the topic,clarifies the definition of student participation,and expounds the theories related to student participation such as "interaction hypothesis" and "activity theory".The first chapter mainly classifies the forms of online classroom participation,and defines three evaluation criteria of student participation: "attendance rate","number of effective interactions" and "student learning effect".At the same time,the correlation between participation and academic achievement is studied to enhance the persuasiveness of the results.The second chapter mainly adopts the method of questionnaire survey and interview to survey 38 Bangladeshi overseas students,and obtains the real and effective data,and analyzes the problems andshortcomings of the students’ participation in the online Chinese comprehensive courses of Bangladeshi overseas students.The third chapter is based on the summarized problems and deficiencies,combined with the actual situation of online Chinesecomprehensive course teaching and the characteristics of the learning situation of Bangladeshi students,summed up effective solutions,and put forward the online Chinese comprehensive classroom student participation promotion strategy. |
