Exploration And Practice Of "Imaginative Modelling" In My Graduation Work

As early as the Northern and Southern Dynasties,Liu Innocence’s "Wenxin Diaolong-Shensi" includes the phrase "A sage establishes an image to exhaust the meaning",which explains more specifically the meaning of "meaning" and "image" and its status in creation.The status of imagery in creative work.Today,the language of imagery is also at the forefront of the aesthetic thinking of the times,providing not only a unique perspective on the development of contemporary Chinese painting,but also nourishment for the development of international painting,as well as theoretical support and practical basis for the practice of ’imagery modelling’in the creation of contemporary figure painting.This paper takes the study of imagery modelling as an entry point for the treatment of the image in creation,and through the use of documentary research,case studies and interdisciplinary research methods,it compares and analyses the ’meaning’,’image’,the concept of imagery modelling and the methods practised in creation.In this study,we explore how imagery is used in the creation of figure painting.The use of "image-modelling" in the creation of the painting focuses on the difficult issue of how to handle and produce images in the creation of figure painting,and attempts to find new ideas on how to combine "image-modelling" with the creation of contemporary figure painting.
