| Exile refers to the departure of people or groups in a region from their place of birth or place of permanent residence due to war, political environment, natural disasters, etc.Spiritual exile is a state of drifting and instability on the level of consciousness.Compared to forced exile, spiritual exile has an additional meaning of self exile and self liberation, and is an activity that actively changes the existing state of existence. The exiled literati in Northeast China fled their homes due to imperialist invasion.Although the group of writers in Latin America came from different countries, the themes of their exiled works mostly revolve around anti colonialism and anti dictatorship, discussing the exiled literature of Northeast China and Latin America.Their works are full of soul due to the word "exile",which endows them with profound literary connotation, profound cultural value, and lasting historical significance. This article revolves around the concept of "exile",starting from the theme, characters, and space of exile, exploring the similarities and differences between exile literature in Northeast China and Latin America, and exploring the inspiration brought by exile literature. The first chapter analyzes the theme of exile. From the perspective of social themes, the common denominator of exile literature in Northeast China and Latin America lies in condemning the dark reality-the plight of the underprivileged people under the iron hooves of the Japanese army and the tragic situation under the dictatorship of the Latin American people, the ethnic conflicts between China and Japan, and the instability of the domestic social environment in the Latin American region are the reasons that led Chinese and Latin American exile writers to embark on the path of exile. From the perspective of cultural themes,Chinese and foreign exiled writers are forced to leave their homeland and move elsewhere, lacking accurate identity positioning, which leads to contradictory cultural identity of themselves, causing identity anxiety. The difference lies in the fact that Northeastern writers were forced to embark on a path of exile due to the lack of means of livelihood due to the plundering of resources by invaders.Latin American exiled writers received good education and actively maintained a distance from their homeland, calling for people to think through their creations. The second chapter discusses the exiled characters in the work, dividing them into progressive and depraved images. The progressive images portrayed by Chinese exiled writers are often tough men fighting for peace and freedom for the people, soldiers holding weapons,or determined working women;Latin American writers focus on exiled intellectuals, who use words to accuse Western capitalist countries of occupying Latin America and strive to change social order through literature. In turbulent times, there are also characters who willingly fall with the ups and downs of the times. The author’s writing purpose is to call on people to face reality, face and resist oppression, and pursue the meaning of life. The difference lies in the fact that the degenerate images portrayed by Northeast writers are mostly mentally numb ordinary people, who have to become indifferent spectators due to their backward thinking;Latin American writers,on the other hand, focus their attention on the image of prostitutes, who view their bodies as a means of survival and are unwilling to become parasites on men without the ability to live. The valuable thing is that the author still wants to discover the value of this type of woman, and still shines with maternal brilliance in the midst of difficulties. The third chapter describes the exile space, which is divided into material space and spiritual space.Exiled writers from both regions are enthusiastic about exploring the closeness of their hometowns.Northeastern writers elaborate on the concept of closeness from two aspects: the surrounding mountains on the geography, and people’s uncivilized thinking that lingers;Latin American writers,on the other hand, believe that people refuse to communicate with the outside world, are unable to keep up with the world and fall behind or even be enslaved. The homeland depicted by the exiled writers in Northeast China is a homeland with primitive vitality, and the people of Northeast China are also brave and skilled in struggle;Latin American exiled writers focus on chaotic urban spaces, exposing the social problems of the entire Latin America. In terms of spiritual space narration, both Northeastern and Latin American writers have a strong sense of hometown and cannot abandon their homesickness; Many writers in Northeast China have a sense of wandering and have created a large number of images of vagrants;Latin American exiled writers have long been in a repressive social environment, and they turn their attention to the small figures who are dazed by excessive mental pressure. They use their perspectives to narrate the unfair situation, criticize reality, and call for the liberation of the masses’ minds. |
