Taking Wuhan in 1938 as the starting point,this paper focuses on the development of national defense films during the war of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in Wuhan in 1938.It closely focuses on the background policies,organizations,film ideas and other contents on which national defense films rely,so as to summarize the historical significance of national defense films during the War of Resistance against Japanese aggression in Wuhan.It tries to present the development of Chinese film industry during the Anti-Japanese War.After the September 18 Incident,China’s ethnic contradictions further intensified,anti-japanese national salvation has become the most urgent theme of The Times.The awakening of the national consciousness of the Chinese people and the drastic changes of the social situation have made great changes in The film industry in China.Under the deep influence of left-wing films,national defense films were born from this.National defense films,with patriotism as the core,timely reflect the real state of Chinese society before the outbreak of Japan’s all-out war of aggression against China,and deeply and uniquely show the strong will and determination of the
