Fan Shoukang’s Dissemination,Interpretation And Pioneering Research Of Marxist Philosophy

Fan Shoukang is a modern Chinese philosopher and one of the earliest scholars to interpret the history of Chinese philosophy from the standpoint of Marxist philosophy.Fan shoukang’s acceptance of Marxist philosophy began during his study in Japan from 1913 to 1923.During this period,Fan Shoukang studied the works of Marxist philosophy translated and studied by Scholars such as Hajime Kawami,and became one of the early Chinese scholars who accepted,interpreted and expanded Marxist philosophy.First,the thesis reviews Fan Shoukang’s dissemination of Marxist philosophy.From 1910 s to 1920 s,Fan Shoukang contacted and studied Marxist philosophy directly or indirectly during his study in Japan.On the one hand,his philosophical works directly reflect the connection between his thoughts and the famous Japanese Marxist philosopher Hajime Kawami.On the other hand,Fan Shoukang was indirectly influenced by other translators,newspapers and magazines as he studied in Tokyo Imperial University,where with a strong research atmosphere on Marxist theories.He first translated and published articles on Marxism,such as Marx’s Historical Materialism and General Theory of Philosophy,etc.,and drew on Hajime Kawami’s views on the review of Marxist theory.After that,Fan Shoukang consciously applied Marxist theory to his works,among which the most representative monograph is The General Theory of The History of Chinese Philosophy.Secondly,the thesis investigates Fan Shoukang’s analysis of Marxist philosophy in many aspects and in depth.Compared with Li Da and Ai Siqi of the same period,Fan Shoukang’s definition of the category of consciousness has reached the highest possible level at that time.He will marxist historical materialism and 20 ～ 30 s of the 20 th century,China’s national conditions,combining Chinese culture,with the basic marxist stand,viewpoint and method to analyze China’s revolutionary situation,with the Chinese people’s favorite national language interpretation of marxist historical materialism,added new content for the spread of early marxism,Embodies the profound connotation of marxism sinicization.Finally,the thesis explores Fan shoukang’s pioneering research on Marxist philosophy.This pioneering research is mainly reflected in three aspects: first,the innovation of the classification theory of social and historical forms;second,the systematic application of historical materialism to the study of the history of Chinese philosophy;third,the innovative use of Marxism to guide the study of educational philosophy and aesthetics.Fan Shoukang was a tireless scholar and a true patriot.From the beginning of abandoning medicine and literature,he was trying to find a way out for the country and the nation.He was not only a philosopher,but also the originator of educational philosophy in China,that promoted the development of education in China.His theory is still of reference value today.
