The Ethical Review On Elderly Care In China

Providing for the elderly is a universal worldwide problem that worries all countries.The aging population that facing China has exposed many contradictions and problems in the elderly,leaving China entered an aging society in 2000 due to the special national conditions of the economy,culture,and politics.How to tackle with a series of ethical dilemmas for the elderly caused by the aging of the population has become the top priority of our country.Based on the perspective of ethics,the review is divided into four parts.To sort out the basic situation and characteristics of aging population,and define the definition of elderly care and the way of elderly care.Uses the statistical analysis software stata15.1 on the data of the 2018 Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey(CLHLS),and uses the ordered Probit regression model to analyze and discuss the existing social ethical issues in elderly care.It includes some problems like the unfair distribution of social resources,the weakening of family filial piety,the weakening of social respect for the elderly,and the lack of good pension system.Combining the above questions,to reflect on the moral philosophy of elderly care.Justice is the real moral foundation for solving the ethical problems of the elderly,the protection of rights is the general moral foundation,and other ethical thoughts are supplements.Justice and human rights,as the universal value foundation of elderly care,plays an active role in solving the ethical problems of elderly care.China needs to follow to solve the ethical problems,which are autonomy,filial piety,care and justice.The elderly are both the object and the subject of the old-age care.The old-age care needs joint effort of individuals,families,society,and the government.The solution of elderly care issues is not only related to one person,but also related to family,society,and nation.In the context of population aging,combined with statistical methods,using theoretical knowledge of ethics,we need to think about the elderly population that exceeds 10% of China’s total population.From the perspective of China’s national conditions,resolving ethical issues of elderly care is related to the development of the country and the future of the nation.This article tries to improve the life quality of the elderly in the final stage and provide more effective ethical methods for elder care.In order to actively respond to the challenges of aging population and to provide some practical social ethical solutions for the development of China’s undertaking for the aged.It is the original intention of this article that the older generation can better complete the last journey of their lives.
