Construction Of Urban Memory From The Perspective Of Digital Humanitie

With the acceleration of global economic integration,urbanization has become an important path for China to promote modernization.In the context of increasingly fierce competition in global city,building an independent knowledge system of digital humanities evidence-based paradigm with Chinese characteristics has become an urgent issue of the times.As the ancient capital of the Ten Dynasties,Nanjing has a large amount of architectural heritage,and the imperial palace walls are an indispensable core part,which is also an important manifestation of Nanjing’s cultural diversity.There are numerous research literature on the Nanjing City Wall,but there is still a lot of research space in the field of "digital memory".The theory of "social memory" provides a new perspective for humanities and sociology,while digital technology has pushed humanities research into the era of "digital humanity",and the combination of the two has created a new form and New Normal of "digital memory".This article comprehensively applies theories and methods from sociology,communication studies,archival studies,history,and museum studies to elaborate on the relevant concepts,essence,and characteristics of urban memory;By deconstructing and analyzing the Nanjing City Wall Memory Project,the advantages and disadvantages of constructing memory resources for the Nanjing City Wall are examined;By analyzing the operational cases of domestic internet digital platforms,we provide empirical support for the construction of Nanjing’s urban memory.This study is divided into three parts.Firstly,the research results on the memory construction of Nanjing ancient city walls are summarized,covering the situation of urban memory construction at home and abroad,the integration of digital humanities and urban memory practice projects at home and abroad,and the protection and development of Nanjing ancient city walls.By reviewing and analyzing the theoretical and practical foundations,as well as the case of the Ming Dynasty City Wall in Nanjing,we aim to clarify the trends and characteristics of the development process of urban memory,and prepare for the dismantling and analysis of the elements of the memory construction of the ancient city wall in Nanjing.Secondly,taking the protection of the ancient city wall in Nanjing and the construction of its memory as the research object,this study analyzes it from multiple perspectives: firstly,from the perspective of the development of city wall memory,it mainly studies the content,development methods,and display methods of resource development under the digital humanistic dimension;The second aspect is the construction and dissemination of city wall memory,focusing on the expansion of communication groups,evolution of communication forms,and optimization of communication content,sorting out the advantages of memory construction and dissemination in the network era;The third is the field of city wall memory construction products,with a focus on the form and content of memory products.By analyzing and researching the memory elements of the Nanjing city wall,it helps to better solve the conflict between urban characteristic culture and modernization construction,bridge the gap between memory subjects and memory resources,and assist in the memory of the city wall and the construction of urban memory.Once again,systematically summarize and propose suggestions for the memory construction of the ancient city wall in Nanjing.By systematically analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the memory construction of the ancient city wall in Nanjing,accurately identifying the root causes of the problems;Select excellent cases that combine digital platforms with humanities and social sciences for in-depth analysis,draw on practical experience,and propose optimization directions,strategies,and paths for the construction of Nanjing City Wall memory.The impact of digital technology on humanities and social sciences is increasingly evident,and this wave will have an increasing impact on the field of urban memory.In response to the advantages and disadvantages of Nanjing’s urban wall memory construction from the perspective of digital humanities,this article believes that we should seize the opportunities of urban transformation and development,continuously optimize the development path of social memory resources based on major needs such as urban construction,social management,and cultural industry.We should build digital platforms and mechanisms,explore regional social memory resources,promote the integration and development of multiple entities,and create a system for resource innovation and utilization.
