Albert Camus,a famous French writer and philosopher, whose "absurd" thoughts are reflected in the images of Meursault the "outsider" and Sisyphus pushing the stone up the mountain.Camus explored the meaning of life from the "resistance" to the absurd, which is also the meaning of his philosophy. From the perspective of theoretical origin,Camus’ s rebellious philosophy was influenced by Pascal’s Thoughts,Christian Existentialism,Nietzsche’s “Superhuman Philosophy”,Heidegger’s Phenomenology and other thoughts. The object of Camus’ rebellion against philosophical thought is "absurdity".After analyzing the difference between Camus’ "absurdity" and previous "absurdities",Camus regarded "absurdity" as the starting point of his thought system."Absurdity" is ubiquitous and unavoidable,so whether it is through physical suicide or "philosophical suicide"(or hope in God),it is not advisable. What people need to do is to admit "absurdity" and Resist it.Why resist? Camus fully explained the nature of rebellion, the way of rebellion and the meaning of rebellion.Looking at Camus’ thoughts,it is not difficult to find that his philosophy is not to prove the absurdity of the world through philosophical speculation, but how to deal with it after realizing the absurdity. He opposes the path of nihilism by equating "sense of absurdity" with man himself. He opposes the self-destruction of the body, the suicide of philosophy and the revolution of violence. In the face of absurd resistance embodies the free will to actively fight. The evaluation of Camus is inseparable from the dispute of the century between Camus and Sartre.Sartre’s critique of Camus and the later “rehabilitation” of Camus by the academic circles all demonstrate the uniqueness and influence of Camus’ s philosophy, which can still give us useful inspiration today.
