| "Poor Wandering one" is an aria from the opera "Pirates of Penzance" by the general’s daughter Mabel.Altough this piece is not widely sung in China,but it has often appeared in concert abroad.At present,there is no previous researcher on this thesis in China.Therefore,it is a topic of great research value.The author first gives a brief overview of the composer’s life and his works,and then elaborates the "Poor Wandering one" from three dimensions: analysis of the works,characterization and singing skills.On the basis of the analysis of the works,the emphasis is placed on the analysis of the singing skills,and the specific training methods are put forward.This thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is an overview of the author Arthur Sullivan and his opera "Pirates of Penzance".The second chapter is the analysis of the lyrics and music text of the "Poor Wandering one".The third chapter is to build the image of Mabel in the "Poor Wandering one".The fourth chapter discusses the singing skills of the aria on the basis of the music analysis above,which is divided into coloratura passages and non-coloratura passages for analysis and training.It is hoped that this thesis can make some supplement to this topic,and provide some reference value for the learners of vocal music who learn and deduce this work in the future. |
