A Study On The Singing Characteristics Of The Musical Selection "The Way I Want To Look At You"

The musical "Mulan" is based on the ancient narrative poem "Mulan Ci",which depicts the story of Hua Mulan,who disguises herself as a man and joins the army for her father.Based on the melody of Chinese folk music,Hao Weiya uses the Chinese native folk music language to show the theme to the audience in the form of opera and opera.Through his superb composing technique and unique understanding of the national musical,he created this piece of music which not only has the characteristics of national music,but also has the spiritual connotation of the culture of The Times.This work is divided into four chapters.The first chapter expounds the research significance,methods and status quo of the thesis.The second chapter introduces the general content of the thesis,its creation background and plot introduction,will be Princess Bataan’s love of Hua Mulan,a brief summary in this work.The third chapter is a concrete analysis,starting from the level of music theory,to explore the overall musical characteristics,from the structure of musical form,tonality,accompaniment texture and music melody characteristics;The fourth chapter is the exploration of singing characteristics,from the use of breath to language expression,resonance and emotional grasp of these parts.This paper analyzes the significance of "I want to look at you like this" from its cultural value,aesthetic value and educational value.
