| The purpose of this study is to explore the function and use of body language in singing performance.In the introduction,the author introduces the current status of domestic and international research on the topic of "body language in singing" and points out the uniqueness and innovation of this dissertation;in the first chapter,the author discusses the concept of body language and the relationship between body language and American singing,which clears the reading barrier and prepares the ground for the following development;in the In the second chapter,the author lists three functions of body language: first,to express feelings and interpret songs;second,to relieve tension and assist singing;third,to show personal style.In the third chapter,the author summarizes and classifies body language,concluding that body language is mainly expressed through facial expressions and hand movements,of which hand movements are divided into four basic gestures: "open,close,rise and fall",whose functions and application have important auxiliary effects on singing.They are also used in different styles of repertoire.The correct use of body language not only helps the singer to interpret the emotion of the song more deeply,but also enhances the singer’s performance on stage.In Chapter 4,the author discusses the commonalities of the four gestures by organizing and summarizing the body language used by singers of various periods in American singing,and picking out typical examples to explain how to use the body language according to its different characteristics in different styles of repertoire;finally,in the concluding section,the author summarizes the previous article. |
