Monochrome,as a subjective way of oil painting creation,has a wide range of applications in the field of art creation.Marievich’s geometric abstract supremacist monochrome painting theory and Ive Klein’s "Klein Blue" metaphysical nihilism have influenced and broken people’s cognitive scope of color concept,and injected new vitality into the development of art.In contemporary art,the expression form of monochromatic language has been adopted by artists.In the final analysis,no matter how the art form develops,it is always inseparable from the art language dominated by the art concept.The artist takes color as the carrier.On the one hand,he conveys the ideological connotation of the work through the schema and content.On the other hand,he opens up ideas for creative thinking by "reducing" the color relationship.The artist timely adjusts the expression of painting language according to his own experience and the needs of the content and form of the work,so as to truly realize the presentation of spiritual feelings and artistic forms.This article takes the formation and development of western monochrome oil painting as the starting point,deeply analyzes the current situation and development trend of monochrome oil painting language creation of Chinese and western artists,and makes in-depth analysis based on the creation form,artistic concept,and emotional transformation relationship of artists in oil painting works.At the same time,this paper comprehensively combs the artistic works in the field of monochromatic oil painting,and analyzes and interprets the works created by more typical artists at home and abroad.Explore the key factors of monochromatic oil painting language expression,starting from the creation background,theme selection,color language,presentation form,to find the semantic characteristics of monochromatic oil painting types.Through the creation practice of monochromatic works,this paper summarizes the expression methods of monochromatic oil painting creation content and formal language,objectively understands the internal relationship between monochromatic creation and artistic creation language,and analyzes the value of artists’ creative thinking for oil painting creation.Finally,we will make a practical inquiry into the composition form,color meaning,emotional language and expression mode of the picture in the creation of monochromatic oil painting,and find out how the monochromatic processing mode affects the factors that improve the visual language expression and emotional penetration of the picture,as well as the best way to obtain the picture presentation.The thesis is mainly divided into four chapters.The main content of the first chapter is to sort out the formation and development of western monochrome oil painting,and elaborate with the artistic creation language of two representative artists;The second chapter makes a comparative analysis of the historical background and artistic language expression differences of the creation techniques of monochrome oil painting by domestic artists with specific cases;The third chapter is about the analysis of the semantic characteristics of the monochromatic language in the artist’s works,and the logical relationship between the form of monochromatic creation and language;The fourth chapter is about the practice of graduation creation,inspiration and perception of creation,which I carried out based on the theoretical analysis of literature and the experience of artists.
