Research On The Image Presentation Of "Craftsman Spirit" In Character Documentary

In recent years,the country has increasingly advocated the promotion of "craftsman spirit" and called on all sectors of society to vigorously practice the craftsman spirit.As a result,a wave of spreading of the craftsman spirit has been set off in China,and a batch of films and television works focusing on ordinary craftsmen have appeared in the public’s vision,pushing the "craftsman spirit" to a new height.In terms of content,character documentaries record people as objects.Through objective recording of the life state and true emotion of the characters,they reflect the humanistic value of the real society in which the characters live and the profound cultural connotation behind it,so as to achieve the purpose of moistening things and conveying their spiritual value silently.As a character documentary focusing on folk Banhu artists,Banhu Life reproduces the hero Liu Juchang’s personal story of 60 years of folk Banhu art inheritance through unique narrative techniques and rich image presentation,and thus salvages the spiritual meaning behind the story and presents the craftsman spirit with the connotation of The Times.The thesis is mainly divided into the following four parts.The first part,based on the definition of key concepts,clarifies the background and development of the rise of craftsman spirit in character documentary,and discusses the main content of craftsman spirit image in character documentary from three aspects: focusing on the subject,demonstrating traditional skills and carrying forward the craftsman spirit.The second part uses the narrative situation theory to discuss the image narrative techniques of character documentary on craftsman spirit from three aspects: the narrative person of the master and the onlooker,the narrative way of telling and showing,and the narrative focus of individual and joint construction.The third part mainly analyzes the presentation of craftsman spirit in character documentary from visual language and auditory language.In the fourth part,based on the theories discussed in the second and third parts,taking personal work Banhu Life as an example,by summarizing the harvest and innovation in the actual creation,an in-depth analysis of the "craftsman spirit" in the image presentation of character documentary,in order to provide valuable suggestions for the creation of character documentary.
