| In the process of seeking self-realization,human beings need to constantly deal with the conflict between ideal self and real self to achieve self-consistency and congruence. This research adopts the method of psychobiography, takes Cheng Yanqiu, the master of Peking Opera,as the research object, takes his own articles, diaries, speeches, stage works, and memoirs and biographies of later generations as the research materials, takes the ideal self and the real self as the research theme, and uses various psychological theories to conduct a deep analysis of Cheng Yanqiu’s life story,in order to interpret the two major suspenseful problems existing in him.First, under the tradition of "follow in his fathers career footsteps",why do children not allowed to engage in arts? Second, under the Chinese culture that favors the "happy ending",why does him love tragedy? Faced with the conflict between the real situation and the real idea,he made a choice. Both of the two suspenseful problems are closely related to the contradiction between his ideal self and real self.Through data analysis, this study found that compared with realizing the ideal self by changing the external environment, the internal improvement of the person was more lasting and stable. Therefore,Cheng Yanqiu’s refusal to allow her children to pursue art is a failed attempt to reconcile the ideal self with the real self.First of all,Cheng entered the pear garden as a famous official and became a lowly actor.Youngest son’s pursuit of superior drove him to assume the responsibility of the family prosperity, family culture let him attention ride home,he must not be allowed to ride home become liyuan family, this and he wants to become a respectable person deviating from the ideal self.To sum up,Cheng Yanqiu’s refusal to allow his children to do arts is his indictment of the tragic fate of his actors and his attempt to change the real environment in order to achieve self-consistency and congruence.Giving full play to personal potential and autonomy is more conducive to achieve self-consistency and congruence.Cheng Yanqiu’s love for tragedy is his successful attempt to achieve self-consistency and congruence. The achievement motive of angulation enables him to gain recognition and respect from others with tragedy.By identifying with Luo Yinggong,he establishes self-identity and determines the career development direction of his love for tragedy.Tragedy became a tool for him to meet his need for self-realization.He sublimated Libido by art and gave vent to his repressed desire for attack in the subconscious. The natural instinct in tragedy drove him to find positive forces in tragedy to change the environment and use drama to promote social harmony and stability and achieve self-harmony.Cheng Yanqiu’s life is his life to achieve self,in order to achieve self-consistency and congruence, become the person he wants to become, his life is in the confrontation of the external environment and coordination of the inner world. His life story has important implications for today’s young people: When the environment does not allow individuals to realize their ideal self, there is a difference between the real self and the ideal self, they should hold firm to their ideals and beliefs.Compared with changing the external environment, internal improvement is more conducive to the realization of the ideal self. They should maximize their own potential and autonomy, accept the real self, and create conditions for the realization of the ideal self.At the same time, the realization of the ideal self and real self is based on the development of the hierarchy of needs,It cannot be divorced from the satisfaction of basic needs. |
