This study focuses on the experience of frustration among sports dance contestants. The research sample consisted of 321 young contestants who were eliminated from multiple sports dance competitions held in Nanning City.First of all, adapt the psychological state scale of competition failure to form a scale suitable for measuring young sports dancers.Secondly, based on a review of concepts, measurement tools, and research results such as psychological resilience and personality characteristics, the level of psychological state, personality characteristics tendencies, and psychological resilience of the subjects in competition failure were measured. Finally,a theoretical model of regulatory effects was applied to study the regulatory effects of psychological resilience and various dimensions on different personality characteristics and psychological states of competition failure.According to the survey data, the findings are as follows:13-year-old players showed strong cognitive differences in competition failure; The more entries a player had,the less emotional impact they experienced after setbacks;Players eliminated in the "fourth round" showed a low level of psychological state and emotional impact of competition failure; On the cognitive dimension,"referee pressure" was found to be significantly higher than other sources of pressure. As players grew older, their levels of psychological resilience, hope, optimism, empathy, and interpersonal skills tend to increase.Players with higher numbers of entries displayed greater levels of mental resilience,problem-solving skills, and cognitive maturity. The players who were eliminated in the "first round" showed a low level of psychological resilience;"Opponent stress" was significantly higher than other sources of stress in the total psychological resilience scale, problem solving, cognitive maturity, hope, and optimism."Group A Latin" players demonstrated more obvious personality characteristics of pleasant and cautious;Players who had competed "0-2times" exhibited significant open personality characteristics, while players who had competed "3-5 times" displayed significant emotional personality characteristics.Psychological resilience has a moderating effect on the relationship between pleasant, cautious, and emotional personality characteristics and the psychological state of competition failure.Based on the research results, the author proposes: selecting the superior over the inferior to optimize one’s personality;consolidating one’s knowledge and strengthening oneself;promoting family education to foster growth;empowering coaches to facilitate psychological release and other suggestions to prevent psychological stress caused by competition failure, improve the level of mental resilience of players, and promote their physical and mental health.
