| The rapid development of information technology,represented by the Internet,multimedia,artificial intelligence,cloud computing and big data,constantly promotes the reformation and innovation of education.The integration and innovative development of information technology and disciplines has become the development trends of the modernization of education.The purpose of English vocabulary teaching in senior high school is to improve students’ language ability,raise their cultural consciousness and enhance their learning ability through the teaching of vocabulary knowledge,awareness,sense and skills,which is the foundation of cultivating the English subject core competencies.Studying the integration of information technology and vocabulary teaching is to better cope with the deep reform of English vocabulary teaching concepts,teaching means and teaching modes within the information age.This will stimulate the enthusiasm of students’ autonomous learning,and have the students’ English subject core competencies effectively exercised,and finally achieving educational goals.Based on this research background,the author has read relevant literatures from a variety of sources both foreign and domestic,and has established an understanding of the current research regarding the application of information technology in English vocabulary teaching in senior high school,followed by an analysis of the research trends.The theoretical foundation for this research utilizes the constructivism learning theory,the theory of multiple intelligences,TPACK framework theory.Under the guidance of the new curriculum standard,this research will study the integration of information technology with high school English vocabulary teaching,with L school in N city as the sample,the literature method,questionnaire survey method,interviews and classroom observation and other research methods is employed.To ensure the validity and reliability of this survey,this paper comprehensively investigates the use of information technology in English vocabulary teaching in senior high schools from the perspectives of teachers,students and information technology.It has been found that information technology has outstanding teaching effects on English vocabulary teaching in senior high school,such as stimulating students’ initiative,enthusiasm and creativity.However,there are also some problems,including teachers’ lack of ability to integrate information technology with curriculum content,and a lack of guidance to improve students’ extracurricular independent and personalized learning.There is also a gap in the implementation of information technology to achieve English subject core competencies.Combined with relevant theoretical research and practical thinking,the primary reasons for this gap are as follows: Firstly,teachers have not correctly formed the concept of information education.Secondly,teachers lack information technology competencies.Finally,the English curriculum evaluation system to promote core competencies has not been perfected.Some feasible suggestions are put forward,including: improving the information technology competencies of English teachers in senior high schools,paying attention to the fragmentary learning of students in senior high school supported by information technology,and establishing an evaluation mechanism based on the English subject core competencies. |
