The Internal Contradictions And Struggles Of “subjective Consciousness”: The Source Of The Evolution Of Horror Images In European Paintings From The 14th To The 19th Centur

Horror image in European painting developed from the fourteenth century to the nineteenth century,with obvious changes in content and form.Because "subject consciousness" runs through all the factors affecting the creation of horror image,it plays a decisive role in the content and form of painting horror image.However,it is the internal contradictions and struggles of subject consciousness that promote the transformation of horror image in content and form.From the 14 th century to the 19 th century,the whole historical context of the development of painting horror image is directly related to the internal contradiction struggle and change of subject consciousness.The process of internal contradiction struggle,fusion and transformation of subject consciousness causes the corresponding transformation of painting horror image,and there is a high degree of correspondence between them.This paper mainly from the following aspects,first,from the research background and significance and research status,etc.,to provide theoretical basis and practical conditions for this study.Secondly,taking the double transformation of the horror image in European painting from the 14 th century to the 19 th century as a starting point,this paper illustrates the phenomenon that the horror image in European painting from the 14 th century to the 19 th century changed from religious to secular in content and from imitation to representation in form.Thirdly,it analyzes how "subject consciousness" plays a decisive role in the creation of horror image in painting from the three levels of spiritual culture,aesthetic thought and individual artist,and deeply analyzes the influence of three different levels on horror painting works in content and form.Fourthly,combining with the concrete works related to the double transformation of the horror image in European paintings from the 14 th century to the 19 th century,this paper analyzes how the internal contradictions and struggles of "subject consciousness" become the power source of its evolution,starting from three aspects: the contradiction of social culture thought in the connotation of "subject consciousness",the contradiction of internalized social power and the internal contradiction of individual artists.Combined with the specific horror works of art in-depth analysis of the reasons;Finally,the author expounds the relationship between the internal conflict of "subject consciousness" and the evolution of the content and form of horror works as well as the development and change of art history.
