As a representative Chinese feminist critic,Zhou Lei flexibly uses various Western discourse theories based on the reality of Chinese literature,film and cultural politics,showing a sharp critical style,sharp critical consciousness and rich theoretical literacy.In the early stage,Zhou Lei was good at using feminist theoretical resources to carry out criticism,and in the middle and late stages,she began to devote herself to the practice of postcolonial criticism.From the perspective of her critical trajectory,there is a turn in Zhou Lei’s critical practice of Chinese literature and culture.However,her feminist criticism and postcolonial criticism are not completely isolated from each other,but based on gender positions,using gender resources,and organically integrating feminism and postcolonialism,thus forming a postcolonial feminist criticism with her own characteristics.This thesis uses text analysis and comparative research methods,combined with Zhou Lei’s own unique life experience,to explore her strategies and methods of constructing subjectivity in literary criticism and film criticism in view of her literary criticism and film criticism.Reflect on Zhou Lei’s critical paradigm and consider the imaginary problem of Zhou Lei’s gender and national isomorphism.Firstly,taking Zhou Lei’s unique life experience and marginal experience as the starting point,this paper provides an overall understanding and interpretation of Zhou Lei’s literary and film criticism.It initially explores the origin of Zhou Lei’s gender criticism,and considers her methods of using gender resources to intervene in postcolonial feminist criticism based on her own gender position.Secondly,starting from Zhou Lei’s specific literary criticism texts,this paper explores the identity dilemma and discursive dilemma of women in Chinese literature,and advocates the use of "anti" strategy to complete women’s identification of their own identity,so as to construct women’s subjectivity.Finally,focusing on Zhou Lei’s film criticism text,this paper clarifies Zhou Lei’s path of constructing national subjectivity in film criticism by comparing and analyzing the characteristics of Chinese and Western directors in the two levels of "nationality" and "gender" in Zhou Lei’s vision.Zhou Lei’s practice of gender criticism is part of overseas sinology research,so through the study of gender criticism of Zhou Lei,it is conducive to peeping into the changes in overseas sinology;On the other hand,the critical resources provided by Zhou Lei’s gender criticism practice can also provide new ideas for domestic feminist researchers.
