Starting from the basic background of the academic and literary pattern during the Mongolian and Yuan Dynasties(1241-1281),this article focuses on the northern literary leaders who lectured and preached at the "Baiquan Academy" in the Sumen Mountains of the Central Plains-Yao Shu,Xu Heng,and Yao Sui.They formed the "Luzhai School"(1250),so they are called the "Sumen Three Confucianism".Among them,Xu Heng was the ancestor of the school,and Yao Shu and Yao Sui were the heirs of the previous two generations.Through their teaching,preaching,and literary creation,they made outstanding contributions to the revival and development of northern culture in the early Yuan Dynasty.The poetry creations of the "Three Confucian Scholars in Sumen" each had their own distinctive style characteristics,which had an important impact on the overall aesthetic and style of northern poetry during the Mongolian and Yuan dynasties.In their poetry,they especially reflected the consciousness of inheriting the Confucian cultural tradition.They,along with the subsequent scholars of the Lu Zhai Clan and the Yao Clan,enabled the continuation and further development of the Confucian ideology based on the Neo-Confucianism of Cheng and Zhu in the Central Plains.The entire text consists of five chapters.The first chapter comprehensively discusses the academic and literary landscape during the Mongolian and Yuan dynasties.Exploring the academic and poetic backgrounds of Neo-Confucianism in both the North and South at that time,and then introducing the research object of this article in the research overview,the "Three Confucian Scholars of Sumen" who are poets and Neo Confucianism scholars-Yao Shu,Xu Heng,and Yao Sui.The second chapter elaborates on the main cultural activities of the "Sumen Three Confucianism" during the Mongolian and Yuan dynasties,introduces the geographical and cultural significance of "Sumen",showcases the cultural origins of Sumen Mountain,the activities of Yao Shu and others in this area,and also briefly describes the communication between the "Three Confucianism".The third chapter studies the content and style of "three Confucianists" poems by means of the individual study of the poems.In the full range of poetry content involving interpersonal communication,education and culture,travel and other fields,we can see the poet’s understanding and thinking of individual life,the country and society,the mountains and the nature,and show the style of poetry of the three Confucianists and the poetry development characteristics of the two generations.The fourth chapter,based on the content and characteristics of the three Confucianists’ poems,evaluates and interprets the poetic characteristics of the three Confucianists,shows the process of their two generations’ formation of poetic characteristics,and finally shows the specific performance of their worship of the poetry trend of "Zong Tang Dynasty and ancient times".The fifth chapter sublimates the research theme and explains the cultural significance of "Sumen Three Confucianists".To demonstrate their two generations of literati to spread the word with literature and poetry,and evaluate their value and significance of carrying forward academic development and inheriting the Confucian cultural tradition.All in all,it was with the continuous efforts of people with lofty ideals such as Yao Shu,Xu Heng,and Yao Sui that the cultural landscape of the North during the Mongol Yuan Dynasty changed from the initial barren and isolated area to a large number of students and academic excellence during the reign of Kublai Khan(1260-1294).The revitalization of Confucian culture in the north was an indispensable and important link in the history of Chinese civilization.
