On The Expression Of Material Language In German Neo-expressionist Paintings With Kiefer As An Example

Taking Kiefer as an example,this paper starts with the analysis of the materials used in his paintings,sorts out and summarizes his material language,explores the spiritual connotation displayed in his works,and analyzes the specific application of material language in German Neo-expressionist Paintings.At the same time,it also helps current art workers to understand the relevant contents of German Neo-expressionist from multiple perspectives,and helps them to constantly enrich and improve their own learning based on the reality.German Neo-expressionist occurred in the late 1970 s and early 1980 s.As an emerging genre at that time,the painting style and creation methods of these artists underwent great changes.This article mainly analyzes Kiefer’s performance of material language in German neo-expressionist painting from four aspects.First of all,for the overview of new Expressionism,more intuitive understanding of what is new Expressionism.The article shows that under the social background at that time,although they are representatives of German Neo-expressionist painting,the painting characteristics and artistic style of each artist vary from person to person.Kiefer,as the representative figure of German Neo-expressionist,the expression of material language in his painting is worth analyzing.Secondly,by analyzing Kiefer’s use of material materials,we can find out how material language is used in his paintings.Then,the use of symbols in Kiefer’s paintings and the ruins presented by his works are analyzed to show the artistic concept of material language in Kiefer’s paintings,and the inner emotions of artists represented by these materials language are analyzed and studied.Finally,through thinking about the material language in Keefer’s paintings,this paper shows the value of material language in Keefer’s paintings and its influence on the current environment.Through the analysis of the material language expression in Kiefer’s works,this paper proves the material language expression in German Neo-expressionist painting better.Among them,through the analysis of Kiefer’s use of material language in his painting works,viewers can better learn from it,provide better methods and angles for the creation of artists,and look forward to a new generation of Chinese artists to create more excellent works of art.
