People documentary is a targeted shooting and production of a person or a representative group,on the basis of real records,through artistic video means to clearly record the life of characters and the process of development and transformation.In character documentaries,the shaping of characters is a very important part.In the current social context in which women continue to be active in the public eye,the analysis of women’s image has always been a key topic in film and television research.Based on theories such as narratology,this paper uses text analysis method,case study method and other research methods,and takes the graduation work《Thirty Only》as the main research case,and the overall research consists of five parts,namely the first chapter introduction,the second,third and fourth chapters,and the creative summary and reflection.The introductory part mainly discusses the research background,sorts out documentary works related to women,and reviews the relevant theories.The second chapter mainly analyzes the existing character documentaries,focusing on the specific presentation of female images in current film and television works and the problems and defects.Through the above discussion,a personal research question is proposed: strategies for shaping the image of women in Chinese documentaries.The third chapter starts from the narrative space,narrative perspective,and narrative festival,and specifically discusses the narrative strategy of female image shaping in character documentaries.First,it analyzes public space and private space to express women’s identity image and emotional awareness.Secondly,the narrative perspective level constructs the real self and the overall image shaping strategy through two aspects: external perspective and internal perspective.Finally,at the level of narrative festivals,it is proposed to use the combination of authenticity and artistry to show the female image,and use the contradictory and conflicting design to strengthen the shaping strategy of the female image.Chapter 4 presents shaping strategies mainly from the audiovisual aspect.It is discussed from three levels: picture language,sound language and montage language.Picture language proposes shaping strategy sound language through the use of long shots,empty shots and close-ups.Sound language proposes to shape female characters through three aspects: music,narration and simultaneous voice.Montage language uses lyrical montage and contrast montage to shape characters.Chapter 5 is a summary and reflection on creation.In this chapter,the research context of this paper is sorted out,the research results are summarized,and the shortcomings in the creative process are reflected. |
