The study of subjective quantity in modern Chinese has a long history. In the study of subjective quantity in modern Chinese, most of the previous studies have focused on the analysis of typical quantity structures and the subjective quantity of adverbial lists from syntactic, semantic and pragmatic perspectives, but there is less analysis of the cognitive motives for the generation of these subjective quantity phenomena, and the recognition of subjective quantity phenomena basically relies on the context, which is a single way of recognition and has no cognitive basis. In this paper,we use a typical corpus from the modern Chinese CCL corpus as an example to analyse the causes of subjective quantity phenomena and the mechanism of subjective quantity phenomena;we also try to analyse how cognitive theories act on subjective quantity phenomena and explain the relationship between subjective quantity phenomena and cognitive factors through the framework of Western linguistic theories, from the theories of cognitive reference points, the principle of resemblance and the theory of subjectivity. The content of the correlations. Finally,it outlines the mechanisms of cognitive production and cognitive understanding of subjective quantity phenomena in modern Chinese in relation to semantics and pragmatics, and presents its own reflections and insights. The first chapter will define the concepts related to subjective quantity,so as to establish the definition and classification of subjective quantity in this paper.Chapters 2 to4 will analyse the application of cognitive reference point theory, the principle of resemblance and subjectivity theory to the phenomenon of subjective quantity in modern Chinese, and attempt to investigate the cognitive generation mechanism and recognition mechanism of subjective quantity in modern Chinese, and then come up with the recognition mechanism of subjective quantity marked by quantity structure and tone, the recognition mechanism of subjective quantity marked by compounding and the recognition mechanism of subjective quantity marked by adverb. Finally, the study explores the mechanisms of subjective quantity generation and knowledge resolution in modern Chinese from a holistic perspective. The study finds that the cognitive reference point theory, the principle of resemblance and the "perspective" theory of subjectivity theory have strong explanatory power for the subjective quantity phenomenon, and they can all provide new insights into the cognitive investigation of the subjective quantity phenomenon. The process of subjective quantity cognitive mechanism is that the speaker conveys his or her own attitudes, opinions and feelings according to the social context, his or her own cultural and intellectual background and the outcome of his or her experience of the external world, and the listener understands/discerns them according to his or her own experience of processing and cognitive experience. In general, the specific subjective quantity of the speaker can be analysed according to cognitive procedures based on the marked expressions, and in exceptional cases, context is needed to help understand the subjective quantity phenomenon.Although this paper explores the cognitive production mechanism of subjective quantity phenomena from several perspectives, the cognitive production mechanism of subjective quantity in Modern Chinese has not been sufficiently studied in the text, and some of the issues need further research.
