Order And Spirit:A Study Of Compositional Forms In The "Rhythm" Series Of Oil Paintings

"Gombrich’s ’Theory of Sense of Order’ is an important theory in design,which reveals the universal existence of sense of order in human society and even in the natural world,as well as the perceptual patterns of human brains in the process of observing and recognizing things,which are still effective in painting creation.This article combines this theoretical system to explore the sense of order generated in the composition of oil painting creation,and then analyzes it on a spiritual level.The article mainly discusses the author’s " Rhythm " series of oil paintings through the interpretation of the theory of" sense of order ",and through formal analysis,it seeks to achieve a deeper understanding of the painting itself.The author mainly analyzes the " Rhythm " series of oil paintings from three aspects of the composition: firstly,discussing the sense of order in painting,this part combines some works by famous artists to analyze the sense of order in them;secondly,discussing the creative process of the " Rhythm " series of oil paintings and the thinking behind these works from the perspective of the elements of composition;finally,focusing on the analysis of the sense of order and spirit in the " Rhythm " series of works,combined with Kandinsky’s theory.Through these three aspects of discussion,the author hopes to use these theories to conduct a comprehensive examination of their own works and reflect on them,while introducing their personal creative thinking to the readers and gaining more inspiration in the process."...
