Research On The Creative Style Of Yan Ping's Opera-themed Oil Painting

Yan Ping is one of the most influential female artists in contemporary China.Her oil paintings contain vivid vitality.Her works can be divided into four series: "Mother and Son","Troupe","Flowers" and "landscape painting".Among them,operas are very representative.While focusing on visual experience,she artistically presents the life state of opera actors in their daily lives to the audience,but there is a lack of targeted research on this subject.This paper makes a detailed analysis of the artistic form language and unique creation style of Yan Ping’s opera works by the method of literature research,contrast and image research.First,the paper combs the creation of oil painting on opera theme,analyzes the source of its creation inspiration and the choice of the creation theme.Secondly,it analyzes the formal language of Yan Ping’s drama creation from three aspects,such as color,composition and brushwork.Third,it discusses the uniqueness of his oil painting of opera subject figures: quiet and noisy,naive and stubborn,expression and metaphor;Finally,this paper analyzes the significance of Yan Ping’s drama-themed oil painting in the development of freehand oil painting and the inheritance of traditional culture,and summarizes its inspiration to the author’s graduation creation and discusses it in more detail from four aspects,such as material,color,composition and brushwork.
