"Ink And Wind And Rain To The Tip"-Research Into Xie Guangqiao’s Calligraphy

Xie Guanchao was an artist in the middle and late Qing Dynasty who printed poetry and calligraphy.His artistic achievements had a great influence on Fujian and Taiwan painting and calligraphy,but his position in the history of painting and calligraphy was forgotten by everyone.At present,the academic research on him mainly focuses on his life and painting,but there are few research results on calligraphy.Therefore,this paper focuses on Xie Guanchao’s calligraphy and is divided into four chapters for detailed analysis.The first chapter combs xie Guaqiao’s life profile,family history and artistic friends,foreshadowing the formation of Xie’s style of writing in the next chapter.In the second chapter,according to the two major turning points in Xie Guanchao’s life and the collected calligraphy and painting printing works,the evolution of his calligraphy style is divided into three stages: the exploration period,the transition period and the mature period,in order to explore the different stages of Xie Guanchao’s book style method and change.The third chapter mainly discusses Xie Guanchao’s book learning thoughts,because Xie Guanchao has no systematic book learning works,so the author will sort out his poems,notes,calligraphy and painting inscriptions and postscripts,summed up the three aspects of book learning thoughts: painting through calligraphy,pen bottom show today and ancient;Into the law is also from the law,muddy heaven into the pen;Knowledge and mind,the pen for striking.The fourth chapter explains the historical background of Xie Guanchao crossing Taiwan to spread the art of calligraphy and painting by analyzing the cultural origin of Fujian and Taiwan in qing Dynasty,and then analyzes its influence and value on fujian and Taiwan painters at that time and later generations.Finally,xie Guanchao calligraphy on the current calligraphy learners enlightenment.
